Lockside Wharf Build Update – September 2022

We are pleased to provide the latest build update for Lockside Wharf, a new development between the Jewellery Quarter and Brindleyplace located along Birmingham’s iconic waterways.

Consisting of the conversion of an existing factory building and a new-build extension to create 61 contemporary apartments, we’re excited to be bringing this new development to market alongside the developers, Consortia Developments.

The final podium slab pour took place this month and is now complete. The cladding installation is progressing well and all available areas that are unobstructed by scaffolding are now complete along with 90% of the windows already in place in the existing section of the building.

The roof structure to the existing building is now complete, the tata deck has been laid and M&E is progressing well.

Tanking works are also progressing well and are now 80% complete. The archaeological investigations and UXO magnetometer surveys have now been carried out and are complete.

HRS works on the existing section of Lockside Wharf’s building are almost complete and have now begun on the new section of the building.

The new section of the building has all the piling completed and 75% of the groundworks. The precast slabs are now being installed.

Completion of Lockside Wharf is anticipated for Q3 2023. These dates are provided as guidance only and are subject to change in line with the build program. We will keep you informed on any changes in our regular build updates throughout the construction period.
