Lockside Wharf Build Update – June 2023

We are pleased to provide the latest build update for Lockside Wharf, a new development between the Jewellery Quarter and Brindleyplace located along Birmingham’s iconic waterways.

Consisting of the refurbishment of an existing factory building and a new-build extension to create 61 contemporary apartments, we’re excited to be bringing this new development to market alongside the developers, Consortia Developments.

The new roof to the existing building is now close to being completed and work has begun on the roof for the new build section of the development. Other existing building works are progressing at speed, with excellent progress on external walls and brickwork, now up to the fourth floor in the rear wedge. The first three balconies are fabricated and are due to be installed shortly.

Inside the development, the mist coat and general decoration works for phase 1 are underway and the mains water supply is now connected. The new lift is now on site and installation is in progress, with the final kitchens in phase 1 and the bathrooms in the existing building also progressing well. AOVs in the first phase have been installed and are ready to be wired.

The show flat has now been completed, but cannot currently be accessed for Health and Safety reasons. Below are some images of the show flat for your viewing.

Completion of apartments at Lockside Wharf is anticipated to begin in Q3 2023. These dates are provided as guidance only and are subject to change in line with the build programme. We will keep you informed on any changes in our regular build updates throughout the construction period.
