Empowered Women: A Strategic Step Toward Wealth Through UK Property
Joseph Mews launches landmark initiative to support UAE women in building legacy wealth through real estate
In May 2025, Joseph Mews marked a powerful new chapter in its mission to empower investors across the UAE with the launch of its exclusive event series, designed to help individuals—especially women—take confident steps toward building cross-generational wealth through UK property investment.
The inaugural event, Empowered Women: Property and Prosperity – Strategies for Success and Beyond, took place in Dubai and brought together an inspiring panel of female thought leaders across wealth management, banking, mortgage advisory, and entrepreneurship. Hosted by renowned journalist Sally Lockwood, the event delivered a high-impact, insight-driven discussion that addressed both opportunities and barriers in today’s property investment landscape.
A Platform for Education, Connection and Confidence
As the first in a series of high-level workshops, the event focused on bridging the knowledge gap around property investment—particularly among women in the UAE. Discussions covered essential strategies for portfolio diversification, mortgage financing, UK market fundamentals, and understanding the difference between income-generating and capital-growth assets.
Among the expert panel were:
-
Sally Lockwood, Journalist, State of the World Show (formerly Sky News)
-
Helen Morris, Wealth Manager at Farrington Asset
-
Sophia Kazmi, Mortgage Advisor at Maidwell Group
-
Naomi Wharam-Adatia, Private Banker at GSB
-
Christiana Maxion, Entrepreneur & Founder of Maxion Matchmaking
Together, they offered a holistic view of how women can approach property investment with greater clarity, purpose, and strategic intent.

Exclusive Survey: Key Insights Into Investor Sentiment
During the event, Joseph Mews conducted a live survey with attendees, revealing striking data about current investor behaviour and perceived obstacles:
-
100% of respondents believe real estate is essential for long-term financial security.
-
Yet 79% admitted they haven’t yet acted on their investment intentions.
-
62.5% reported a lack of access to investment platforms or mentorship.
-
29% were unsure of the basic steps involved in buying an investment property.
-
83% cited the UK as their preferred international investment destination.
These insights underscore the need for dedicated support structures that can demystify the investment process and provide access to expert guidance.
“We believe wealth is built through clarity, confidence, and long-term strategy,” said Johnny Conran, Managing Partner at Joseph Mews. “This initiative is about opening doors—to education, to opportunity, and to a community of like-minded investors ready to build legacy wealth.”
